Kakita Receives President’s Award

WDS President Dr. Sandra Read chose Dr. Lenore Kakita to be this year’s recipient of the President’s Award in recognition of her outstanding support and leadership of WDS. Dr. Kakita has been an active member of nearly every committee of the WDS and has played a major role in shaping the strategic direction of the Society over the past five years. She has been instrumental in fundraising which makes possible many of the worthwhile programs that members of the WDS now enjoy, such as the Mentorship Award Grants and other outstanding benefits. And she has herself been an outstanding mentor to many women in dermatology throughout her career. She is the mother of three: Neil, Garrett and Grant.
