Dear Residents, Fellow, and Young Physicians:

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to tell you about the programs and opportunities that the Women’s Dermatologic Society offers the dermatologic community.

My name is Han Lee and I recently completed my dermatology residency and Mohs fellowship at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. Since my training, I have joined the Division of Dermatology at University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California as the Director of Dermatologic Surgery.

My first exposure to WDS was through one of my mentors, Dr. Frances Storrs, who is a great clinician, teacher, and one of the most energetic and enthusiastic persons I have had the pleasure to know. Then I attended the annual luncheon meeting four years ago and learned about the great opportunities that the WDS provides, including a mentoring program, but most of all, the camaraderie and collegial atmosphere amongst dermatologists from all over the world left a lasting impression. It provides a great forum to share experiences, and to network with other dermatologists from various practice settings.

Some of the upcoming events include a networking reception, annual luncheon meeting in San Francisco, and a practice enhancement reception at Dr. Seth Matarasso’s office in San Francisco. And the mentoring program is a great avenue to work with renowned dermatologists with expertise in pediatric dermatology, surgery, contact dermatitis, dermatopathology, or any other sub-specialty that you wish to gain more exposure to.

I encourage all of you to peruse the programs at the WDS website www. womensderm.org and to consider membership to this organization.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you at the annual luncheon, and if you should have any questions please do not hesitate to eMail me at hannlee@usc.edu..

With regards,

Han N. Lee, M.D.
