2008-2009 WDS President Suzanne Connolly, MD chose Marie-France Demierre, MD as the 2009 recipient of the President's Award.
The President's Award is given at the discretion of the President of the WDS to an individual or individuals of her choosing.

The Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS), now the nation’s third-largest dermatology organization, announces the 2009-2010 presidency of Wendy E. Roberts, MD, who took office during the WDS 34th Annual Meeting Luncheon held recently in conjunction with the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Suzanne M. Connolly, MD, served as WDS President in 2008-2009.

A new feature at the Women's Dermatologic Society website is our "Find A Dermatologist" online search. The WDS has dermatologists across the United States to serve you and now they can be easily found.
Just enter your zip code and search radius (in miles) into our "Find A Dermatologist" search and you will be provided a list of WDS-Member Dermatologists complete with distance, location and phone number. Most WDS Dermatologists even have available a map with directions to their location.

Professional Training and Educational Opportunities for WDS Members
The goal of the Women’s Dermatologic Society Career Development Program is to provide WDS members opportunities to enhance their career development through participating in “hands-on” training or other educational activities. This program provides financial support for WDS members (of at least 3 years) to acquire specific skills to enhance professional development.

The mission of the Women’s Dermatologic Society is to help women in dermatology realize and fulfill their greatest potential by striving to:
- Foster, promote and support women’s issues in dermatology;
- Identify, train, and recognize women leaders in dermatology;
- Provide a forum for developing relationships through mentoring and building of coalitions;
- Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and research relevant to women’s issues;
